Hogan Training

Welcome to Hogan Assessment Systems training offerings. Our workshops are tailored for executive coaches, HR directors or generalists, organizational development or training professionals, and industrial/organizational psychologists looking to become certified in the administration, interpretation, and implementation of HAS assessments. Workshop Descriptions

• The two-day Hogan Assessment Certification Workshop provides an in-depth understanding of how to use and interpret the Hogan assessment suite. The workshop provides a comprehensive tutorial on three Hogan inventories—Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI); Hogan Development Survey (HDS); and Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI). Participants attending both days and successfully completing post-workshop extracurricular activities will be certified to use the Hogan inventories.

• The one-day Hogan Advanced Workshop: Using the Leadership Forecast Series for Development provides in-depth instruction regarding how to use the Leadership Forecast Series, including the Coaching Report, to build an individual development plan that can serve as the foundation for a coaching engagement. Workshop participants will learn about the Hogan Performance Model and how it can be used as a basis for integrating assessment data from a variety of sources. These data can be used to structure development objectives and outline development activities designed to improve individual performance.

• The one-day Hogan Advanced Workshop: Using the Leadership Forecast Series for Team Building provides in-depth instruction on evaluating team-based data to facilitate team development through customized training and consultation. Workshop participants will be trained in a Hogan designed methodology that incorporates customized Hogan materials and media. Participants will have the tools to identify team development strategies and to conduct comprehensive team building experiences.

Web Course Descriptions

• The Hogan Development Feedback Certification Web Course is recommended for individuals who wish to increase their proficiency in coaching or delivering feedback to candidates using Hogan personality data (HPI, HDS, MVPI). This web course certification encompasses a mixture of learning methods, including formalized learning, web-based instruction, and preparing for and delivering a practice feedback session in a simulated environment using a master case study monitored by a Hogan coach. Certification acknowledges that the professional can move beyond scale interpretations to a richer and more meaningful process of providing development insights in interpreting strengths and weaknesses.

• The HBRI Certification Web Course provides a comprehensive tutorial on how to interpret the Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory (HBRI). The HBRI evaluates a person's ability to solve problems and make business-related decisions and is a key component of successful managerial performance. The web course and accompanying workbook defines, illustrates, and provides interpretation of the three major reasoning skills along with factors that can degrade decision-making, such as derailing factors. A detailed examination of interactions between tactical and strategic reasoning abilities provides a rich variation of “cognitive style” approaches to business decision making.
