:: Workshop on Use of Leadership Forecast Series for
Development To Be Held June 12
|
|
Hogan
Assessment Systems will offer a specialized workshop on June 12 on how
to use the Leadership Forecast Series to build an individual
development plan that can serve as the foundation for a coaching
engagement. The "Hogan Advanced Workshop: Using the Leadership
Forecast Series for Development" will be held at the Georgia Tech
Global Learning
Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Leadership
Forecast Series consists of four reports generated from three
inventories: Hogan Personality Inventory; Hogan Development Survey; and
Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory. To attend the advanced
workshop, participants must have completed the Hogan Assessment
Certification Workshop as a prerequisite.
During the
advanced workshop, participants will evaluate a high-potential leader
with some development challenges - based on a real-life case from the
company archives - and prepare a detailed coaching plan. The workshop
revolves around understanding the Hogan Performance Model, which is
used to integrate assessment data from a variety of sources. For more

Education Credit

|
The American
Psychological Association has granted approval to Hogan Assessment
Systems to offer Continuing Education credits for another five years.
The April action by the APA Continuing Education Committee, which
granted Hogan a five-year full approval, is a continuation of a
previous approval awarded to Hogan Assessment Systems that ran from
2000 to 2007.
The APA states
that its Sponsor Approval System provides organizations that offer
continuing education to psychologists "an opportunity to earn the
APA sponsor approval status that is given to those organizations that
can demonstrate a commitment to the highest level of quality in the CE
programs they offer to psychologists." APA credit can be earned by

:: To Learn About Organizational Effectiveness, Study
Organizations, e.g., Toyota
|
|
What can one learn
from Toyota,
considered by many as the best run organization in the world? In a talk
he gave in Shanghai in March, Robert
Hogan, president of Hogan Assessment Systems, offered nine themes that
characterize the Toyota
model - themes which he says can serve as provisional general rules for
organizational effectiveness. Hogan says organizational effectiveness
should be approached empirically - "we should study effective
organizations to see what is distinctive about them." To read his
observations, click
